On October 3rd 2024 VMI opened a new engineering, service and research center in Vadodara, India.

The new engineering, service and research center is located in the historic city of Vadodara in the state of Gujarat, a fast-growing technology hub, well located for easy transport links across the whole country. The Vadodara team, which is projected to reach 50 people by year end (2024), includes a growing number of talented, ambitious and highly trained engineers who are an integral part of VMI’s Global Engineering team. The team is also ready to deliver every form of service support, from performance optimization to routine maintenance, troubleshooting and upgrades to customers anywhere in the world. The new center in Vadodara also represents a significant extension of VMI’s R&D capacity.

From the VMI India office in Vadodara we operate to support the engineering departments in our headquarters in The Netherlands. Our Digital Technologies Team is focused on creating cutting-edge solutions that revolutionize the machine industry and empower businesses. We strive to be at the forefront of technological innovation, driving automation, efficiency, and precision to new heights. Through our expertise in industrial interface software development and vision technologies, we aim to transform the way machines operate, enabling seamless integration, intelligent decision-making, and enhanced productivity. The order engineering team is mainly working on customer-specifying our standard machines. This ranges from layout issues to complete new modules. The highest quality and continuous improvement in technique and process is really in our DNA. There is an informal and open atmosphere in the departments, where we especially want to help each other and learn from each other.

The Vadodara facility is newly build. VMI occupies the ground, first and second floor of the building which holds a drum work shop, warehouse, office and meeting space and room for training.
