Responsibility and sustainability impact
In this core area, VMI takes actions that make a positive contribution to combating climate change, preventing resource depletion and managing to reduce the impact on ecosystems by our products or their transportation. We do this based on our innovative strength and in close cooperation with both our customers and our suppliers to achieve the most sustainable value chain possible. Our targets are net zero CO2 emissions (scope 1 & 2) by 2030, waste recycling >80% and an annual energy reduction of 5%. We report this annually in our annual Global Sustainability Report.
VMI pays continuous attention to development and growth of its employees. We motivate and help our employees grow, so that they can perform their work efficiently and with enthusiasm. We offer them a healthy working environment, where safety comes first. In addition to the direct visible safety and health measures, we also try to actively support our employees in their vitality. An important point of attention within VMI is to improve the gender balance in our organization. Like our parent organization TKH, we aim to have women in 25% of senior positions by 2030.
