VMI Miles for Life 2025

Each year, VMI participates in a challenging sportive event to raise money for charity. For 2025, VMI is organized its own sporting challenge, VMI Miles for Life, to raise money for KWF Dutch Cancer Society. A special edition this year to celebrate our 80th anniversary. From 9 till 11 September 2025, 110 VMI employees from 6 VMI global facilities pushed their limits, braved the elements and came together to make a real difference for charity. They did so on a racing bike, gravel bike, MTB or running or walker. With the goal to raise much money to help fight cancer.

Day 1 kicked off with a bang as cyclists and hikers tackled the stunning routes across the Veluwe and Achterhoek. Despite a downpour that left everyone soaked and chilly, spirits remained high. A warm welcome at Schelenberg in Lunteren, complete with hot showers and a delicious pasta dinner, was the perfect way to recharge.

Day 2 brought even more excitement as our Gravel bikers, MTB riders, road cyclists, hikers, and runners took on their longest and toughest challenges yet. Routes wound through breathtaking landscapes, including a sneak peek into Germany for our long-distance cyclists. The evening wrapped up with a lively music bingo session for those who still had energy to spare!

Day 3 was all about celebration. After a final push through the Veluwe’s north and east, participants were greeted with a hero’s welcome at VMI in Epe. The grand finale? Revealing an incredible €116,627 raised for KWF—our biggest total yet! The day ended with a well-deserved BBQ, celebrating not just the finish line, but the unforgettable journey we shared.
